Mexican Left Sure of Victory
Left-center coalition "For the Good of All" declared Wednesday it will win the elections in July as it represents a real alternative for change.

Leaders of the alliance, made up of Revolucion Democratica Party (PRD), Partido del Trabajo (PT) and Convergencia por la Democracia, said that other parties running represent a continuation of the neoliberal model.

Main leaders of these groups met with journalists after opening the campaign headquarters of their presidential candidate, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, in a main capital area.

PRD President Leonel Cota said the alliance remains firm in its advance towards consolidation to achieve a new nation, with wiping out poverty as a main priority.

That"s why Lopez Obrador will start his campaign on Thursday in a municipality of the state of Guerrero, which has the country"s highest levels of extreme poverty.

Secretary generals of PT and Convergencia, Jose Narro and Alejandro Chanona, also expressed their confidence in the coalition"s strength and their support for Lopez Obrador.

A survey carried out by Milenio daily Jan 12-16 showed Lopez Obrador leading with 37 percent support, followed by Calderon with 31 percent, and Madrazo with 30 percent.
