Duel Over Woman Leaves Two Injured
In an unusual occurrence, two Costa Rican men took out their pistols and dueled for the love of a Nicaraguan woman. Both men were injured in the duel and were admitted to the Hospital San Juan de Dios.

One of the men, identified as 28 year old Jorge Arturo Marín Madrigal, received a bullet to his right shoulder and hand, while the other, 23 year old, Gonzalo Ramírez Quesada, received a serious impact to the abdomen.

The duel occurred at 3:50am in Barrio Hispano, in San Francisco de Dos Ríos, east of San José.

Police called to the scene of the duel say in their report that the motivation behind the shooting is a Nicaraguan woman, who how has two lovers in hospital, facing criminal charges of attempted murder.
