Cold Spell Gone Tomorrow!
The cold spell that has been
hovering over the Central Valley
should be gone by tomorrow, says
the Instituto Meteorológico
Nacional (IMN) - the weatherman.
For the last couple of days,
clouds with a light misty rain
to downpours in some areas has
been the norm. The strong cold
winds have made many tourists
doubt their decision to visit
Costa Rica, at a time when it is
supposed to be hot and sunny.
A cold front stationed over the
Caribbean Sea coming from the
Gulf of Mexico is the cause of
the unusual weather.
Outside the Central Valley (San
José), the Pacific beaches are
still hot with an average day
temperature of 34 Celsius (93
Fahrenheit). However, the
Caribbean coast and northern
zones are experiencing normal
January weather, rain and and
soon more of it.
More than one person took cover
from the cold as jackets and
scarves were the norm around San
José.
The weatherman, though claiming
that the cold will be gone by
tomorrow, says not to be too
trusting not to protect yourself
from the cold and rain.
