Arias
Waits Patiently For "Official"
Word
Acting more like a
president-elect than a
presidential candidate, Partido
Liberación Nacional (PLN)
leader, Oscar Arias, is going
about the business of forming a
new governmentm, unlike Ottón
Solís of the Partido Acción
Cuidadana (PAC), who many
believe he is acting like a
cry-baby for not taking the loss
gracefully.
It has been exactly three weeks
today that the Tribunal Supremo
de Elecciones (TSE) suspend the
count of the February 5
elections, ordering a manual
count of all votes.
Oscar Fonseca, president of the
TSE, at the beginning said that
the election results would be
available by the end of the
month. The manual vote count
ended last Wednesday, however,
the TSE has yet to "officially"
name a winner, preferring to
side with caution as it deals
with the hundreds of complaints.
An official proclamation may
come as early as next week.
