Exports to Central America
The Central American market remains as one of the major buyers of Costa Rican goods.

According to data from the Office of Central American Economic Integration, purchases increased by 65% between the years 2000 and 2005.

While sales in the region amounted to us$589.5 million in 2000, they reached us$976.5 million last year, the United States and the European Union, respectively, remain Costa Rica’s biggest trade partners.
