Guatemala Youth Join Anti-FTA Rally
Guatemalan young people announced Thursday their willingness to join the massive February 24 march scheduled against the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the US in Guatemala City.

The five-kilometer rally, which will parade in front of the US embassy, was called by the National Fight Front that gathers grassroots organizations.

Rebeca Tamayac, leader of the Anti-imperialist Bloc that refuted all the reforms boosted by Jacob Arena administration, denounced her country´s abject poverty and lack of opportunities that lead many young people to joining the morass.

Likewise, she slammed the US double standard, championing for a supposed free trade agreement while not allowing Central Americans to look for jobs on its territory.
