Drivers of
Fatal Accident to Jail
The El Juzgado Penal de
Puntarenas (Puntarenas Courts)
ordered three months preventive
detention (jail) to both drivers
involved in the traffic accident
early Saturday that left 6 dead
and 15 injured. Guatemanan,
Marco Tulio Barías (driver of
the tractor trailer) and
Salvadorian, José Alarcón
(driver of the bus), are being
charged with "homicidio culposo"
- manslaughter.
Two Headed Pig
Residents of Turrialab are

the birth of a pig with two
heads and three eyes. The
porkling is one of 12 given
birth by "lucy" owned by Greivin
Brenes of Santa Cruz. The animal
only survived for a little over

Costa Rican Man Arrested in
Nicaragua Occulting Money
A Costa Rican man is in the
custody of Nicaraguna police
when he was arrested at the
border point of Peñas Blancas,
when he was found to be hiding
us$529.000 dollars in his van.

man to investigate the source of
the funds when the man could not
offer an explanation. Félix
López Morales is known to
Nicaraguan police when he was
arrested several months ago, in
Nicaragua, for carrying three
guns, again hidden in
compartments of his van, while
crossing the border.
