Lending Neighbour Gun Was Fatal
Lending your gun to a friend can be fatal. That is exactly what happened to 27 year old Gustavo Alonos Granadas, who lent his neigbour in Los Cuadros de Purral, his gun yesterday morning, who in turn shot Granados in the head.

Authorites say that it was 1:30am when Granados received a knock on the door and hurried to open it. His neighbour, a 26 year old man identifies as Morales, known in the area as "Pelón", asked Granados for his gun, supposedly to go "earn a living". Without questioning, Granados handed his gun to his neighbour, telling him not to get into any trouble.

Moments later Granados heard shots being fired outside of his home. He went outside to see what the commotion as about and to get back his gun. According to witnesses, he asked Pelón for his gun, who was agitated and in a fury, shot Granados. The bullet impacted the head.

Granados fell on the spot and paramedics from the Cruz Roja (Red Cross) could do nothing to save the man.

Morales was immediately arrested and is now facing a charge of murder.
