Pressidential Count Continues;
Ballots Will Then Used for

Despite anything to the
contrary, the Tribunal Supremo
de Elecciones (TSE), has not
proclaimed a winner in Sunday's
presidential elections, and
according to Oscar Fonseca,
president of the TSE, there will
not be any until all the ballots
have been manually counted.

soon and so will the Dengue
season. This year, the
Ministerio de Salud (Ministry of
Health) says that the Ministerio
de Hacienda (Finance) have some
¢2 billion colones (us$3.9
million dollars) frozen that
would leave them with no money
to fight the disease.
La Niña
Could Bring More Rain and
Flooding This Year
The phenomena known as "la Niña"
could cause strong rain and
flooding of the Pacific coast
areas this "winter" season,
according to the Instituto
Meteorológico (IM), the
weatherman. The IM added that
the Caribbean will also be
hotter than normal.

happened to 27 year old Gustavo
Alonos Granadas, who lent his
neigbour in Los Cuadros de
Purral, his gun yesterday
morning, who in turn shot
Granados in the head.
