Colombia FM Visits Panama-DR
Colombian Foreign Minister
Carolina Barco is kicking off
Monday official visits to Panama
and the Dominican Republic to
talk on issues of common
interest with her respective
counterparts.
Barco, in Panama until Tuesday,
will attend the closing day of
the 11th Panama-Colombia
Neighborhood Commission Meeting
and discuss bilateral issues
with Panamanian Foreign Minister
Samuel Lewis.
At the meeting, both delegations
will deal with energy and gas
interconnection, bilateral
customs, commercial and
aeronautic matters as well as
migration cooperation.
In the Dominican Republic, on
Wednesday, the Colombian
official will meet with
President Leonel Fernandez plus
her Dominican counterpart Carlos
Morales to analyze migration,
energy and cooperation.
The Barco-Morales gathering will
consolidate the two governments´
political dialogue and
friendship.
They will exchange viewpoints on
the migration summit of Central
American, Dominican and
Colombian foreign ministers to
be held shortly in Cartagena.
In addition, the two officials
will evaluate economic,
commercial and security concerns
as well as sci-tech cooperation.
