Deceased Expected to Vote
Tomorrow
615 Costa Ricans who are
expected to vote tomorrow will
not be doing do because, well,
they are deceased. Their names,
however, still appear on the
voters list.
The list of dead voters was sent
to the Spanish language daily
newspaper Diario Extra, which
list the 615 among the 2.5
million registered voters.
The Tribunal Supremo de
Elecciones (TSE) has offered no
explanation as to how this could
happen. The voters list was
completed several months back,
though the deceased of the list
had died prior to the list
preparation.
The TSE publishes a complete
voters list on their website,
including places to vote and
breakdown of voters in each
district.
