No Political Propaganda
Beginning Tomorrow; Lottery
Moved to Monday
Some good news, beginning
tomorrow there will be no
election propaganda, but, bad
news is that there will be no
lottery draw this Sunday, making
way for the presidential
election.
The election rules eliminate all
election propaganda -
television, newspapers, public
forums, etc. - beginning
tomorrow, to allow voters time
to reflect and consider who they
are going to vote for on Sunday.
Luis Polinaris, head of the
Protección Social de San José,
confirmed yesterday that
Sunday's lottery will be moved
to Monday. Polinaris said there
was an error in the printing of
the lottery tickets, which
states Saturday is the draw for
the ¢50 million colones lottery.
Sundays and Tuesdays are lottery
days in Costa Rica.
