Gasoline Going Up Next Week,
Regulador Announced Price Hike
Approval
Here we go again. Loosen your
wallet because the Autoridad
Reguladora de los Servicios
Públicos (Aresep) announced that
it has approved the latest
gasoline hike - the eight so far
this year.
Gasoline prices will jump from
0.7% to 4% due to an increase in
the tax on gasoline products and
the rising price of crude oil on
international markets.
A litre of super gasoline will
increase 3.8%, changing the
price at the pumps from the
current ¢575 colones to ¢597 colones. Regular gasoline prices
will be increased by 4%,
bringing the price per litre to
¢573 colones from the current
¢550.
Diesel gasoline will increase
only 0.7%, with prices at the
pump from ¢380 colones per litre
to ¢383 colones.
The price increase will take
effect once it is published in
the official government
publication "La Gaceta" with is
expected by the middle of next
week.
