  Gasoline Costs More Today

Gasoline Costs More Today
Did you fill you tank yesterday? If not, the same gasoline you could have bought yesterday will cost you more today, as the price of gasoline takes another hike, bringing the price for a litre of the combustible to a record high.

A litre of super gasoline that cost you ¢479 colones yesterday, will cost you ¢504 colones today. Regular gasoline went from ¢446 colones a litre to ¢463 and a litre of diesel jumped to ¢318 colones to ¢337.

What this means is that it will cost you an additional ¢1.125 colones to fill a 45 litre tank with super gasoline.

The increase was approved last week by the Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (ARESEP) but came into effect today after it was published Friday in the official newspaper La Gaceta.
