Bolivia to build road inter-connecting South
America
Bolivia signed a contract on the
construction of a road that will inter-connect South American countries,
the Bolivian Information Agency said on Monday.
The 108-km road, with an expected cost of 93.6 million US dollars, will
link the El Carmen-Arroyo Concepcion road in the eastern department of
Santa Cruz with the Santa Cruz-Puerto Suarez road in southwest Brazil.
The road will facilitate passenger and cargo traffic among the Andean
Community countries and members of the Common Market of the South, said
Jose Bakovic, president of the National Road Service of Bolivia.
