Rain Was Cause of Power Failure Wednesday Mornring
The rain, it seems, caused the early morning blackout that left the most
of Rohrmoser, Pavas, La Uruca and San Pedro without electrical power for
minutes to hours. In Rohrmoser east, where the offices of
Insidecostarica.com are located, power was restored about 12:30pm.
According to spokesperson for the Compañía Nacional de Fuerza y Luz (CNFL),
Javier Alvarado, an explosion in several transformers caused the
blackout. Alvarado confirmed that the problems experienced yesterday
were due to the early morning rain that covered the Central valley.
