Australian Student Missing In Costa Rica
Police in Costa Rica are searching for a University of Florida exchange
student from Australia who went missing four days ago during a spring
break trip.
Authorities said 24-year-old Brendan Kieran Dobbins was last seen Friday
at 4 a.m. sitting with a local acquaintance in Tamarindo. Red Cross
crews have searched the beaches of Tamarindo.
Officials have left open the possibility of drowning and are seeking an
explanation as to his disappearance.
Five Australian international students and six Americans arrived
together in Tamarindo last Wednesday.
The students, who are studying in UF's School of Building Construction,
planned to meet up again at Friday in San José.
