In Villalobos
We Trust!
Sunday
afternoon a meeting of Enrique Villalobos
Camacho (the Brothers) was held at the Aurola
Holiday Inn in downtown San Jose, where about
400 of the 6,000 plus investors attended to
hear speakers of the UCCR, the organizer of
the meeting, and José Miguel Villalobos (JMV),
former Justice Minister in the Pacheco
administration, and no relation to Enrique
Villalobos.
The organizers were surprised at the number in
attendance, commenting that they had feared
that only a 100 or so would show.

Investors
gathered at the Aurola Holiday Inn to
hear members of the UCCR and guest
speaker José Miguel Villalobos (JMV),
former Justice Minister. |
The general
mood was positive as many attended to hear
facts and not fiction. John Manners and
Duke Mosley spoke on behalf of the UCCR
sponsored meeting, outlining the agenda
for the meeting and a call for everyone to
keep the faith, as they strongly believe
that once the government backs off,
Enrique Villalobos will return to Costa
Rica and made good with his investors or
"friends".
José Miguel Villalobos (JMV)
, a lawyer and former Minister of Justice
until he was fired by President Abel
Pacheco, for what he admitted for being
outspoken and not giving in to inside
political pressures, took the podium to
inform those gathered his opinion of the
situation.
He outlined that the government had no
case or at best a weak one. Being a
constitutional lawyer for more than 10
years, he believes that the government
acted in bad faith and is exacting a
vengeance on Enrique Villalobos (EV)
without just cause or merits.
The former Minister outlined his strategy,
if he is hired by the group, that is in
two parts: commence a legal action against
the government and a strong and aggressive
media war.
He was very emphatic that the investors
have lost the media war and have come to
be known as the "3 percenters",
a greedy bunch of people who entrusted
their money with a criminal.
His plan, if hired, is to pressure the
government to put up or shut up. He feels,
having reviewed all the documentation on
file to date, that the government has no
case and is now scrambling to come out of
this in one piece. If pressured, he told
the group, the case would be dropped and
inside of six months or less, EV would be
able to return to Costa Rica and make good
with debt to the investors.
The
meeting followed with a question and
answer period, where some investors
spoke for the many in the group,
asking questions like: what do EV's
lawyers think of using the former
Justice Minister? How could this
help 'our case', would it not drag
on for years? What percentage does
he (the lawyer) keep for himself of
what he gets back?
Tomorrow (Tuesday) we will have most
of the questions and answers put to
José Miguel Villalobos (JMV), as
insidecostarica.com was given
permission to tape the speech by the
lawyer and used here for all
investors, far and near, to read. |

The meeting ended with José Miguel
Villalobos (JMV) leaving the room to let
the members of the UCCR meet privately to
discuss the hiring of his as a lawyer and
a plea for money to cover the legal costs,
which are set at $300.000 US Dollars, with
the first $100.000 paid up front, the
second $100.000 paid within months as a
second installment and the final $100.000
to be paid when EV returns with the money.
