Salud Gives Manuel Antonio Four Months For Clean Up
The ministerio de Salud (Health ministry) said yesterday the Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio will not be closed and will be have four months to clean up the fecal contamination of the area.

Wal-Mart, Scotiabank and Florida All Cofirm Job Cuts
Wal-Mart, Scotiabank and Florida Bebidas are all downsizing due to the current economic situation in the country, with layoffs of employees, mainly at the administrative level. Wal-Mart has eliminating 60 positions, while Florida Bebidas is cutting back 136 and Scotiabank 200.

Bus Fare Drop Approved
Users of public bus services have been waiting patiently for a reduction in fares and yesterday the Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep) finally gave the approval to reduce fares 5.13% on som e712 routes around the country.

Guanacaste Hospitals Join ‘Safe Surgery’ Program

"Barista" Finals Competition Today
The final competition for the best "barista" will be held today beginning at 2pm in Terramall, where 16 competitors will compete for six spots to represent Costa Rica in the Campeonato Mundial de Baristas (World Barista Championship).
