What ever happened to the Policía de Traánsito (Traffic Police) investment in the portable electronic ticketing devices shown off last September? The handheld computers allowed Tránsito officials to enter the information on a touch pad and print out a ticket and then download to the MOPT mainframe from a local computer.
The handheld units reportedly cost us$1.900 each and none of the 200 units purchased is in use today.
