requested that the writer provide proof that

We are waiting in vain for verifiable
confirmation. We will give the writer one

CHILE:
Salmon Producers Go on the Offensive
As in war, or a championship
football match, Chilean salmon farmers believe the best defence is offence, and
have launched a campaign to disqualify a scientific report that reveals the
presence of cancer-causing compounds in the fish they raise and sell.
The study by U.S. and Canadian scientists, coordinated by the universities of
Indiana and New York and published in Science magazine, found high levels of
toxins in farm-raised salmon, including Chilean salmon, compared to levels in
wild fish.
