people in our country were using
Costa Rican children for prostitution, to
work in night clubs & bars, and
for pornographic videos and photographs..
Although authorities are, for the
moment, watching out so that the name of Costa
Rica is kept clean internationally,
the declarations and accusations continue

A US company'ss involvement in selling
personal data on citizens from 10 Latin
American countries for police
investigations, is causing controversy in
several of the nations concerned.
Mexico, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Costa
Rica are some of the governments
investigating how the Atlanta, Georgia-based
firm ChoicePoint came across information on

Colombia Likely To Recieve $300 Million
From CAF By End Of June
Colombia is likely to receive a $300
million loan from the Andean Development
Corporation, or CAF, by the end of June,
Colombian President Alvaro Uribe's office
said in a statement Tuesday.
The statement cited CAF President Enrique
Garcia, who said the funds would be used
"to support the State's reform programs
and basically for social investment and the
competitivity of the country." >more
