Tamarindo’s Beach Nuts Theatre Company has announced auditions for its November production entitled Christmas Pantomime. This will be the second production in 2014 for this thriving community theatre group. In April of this year, residents and visitors were delighted by five performances of a production of Peter Pan, four of which played to sold out audiences.

This will be the tenth Beach Nuts production for Paul Belanger, producer, director, and actor, who founded the group in 2009 with its first show, Cinderella.

Belanger, a veteran children’s theatre producer from Vancouver, Canada, was inspired to create Beach Nuts Theatre by some Tamarindo locals and their children. While Beach Nuts is focused primarily on the child-actor’s of the community, Belanger has also brought adult theatre to the community, In 2013, a dinner theatre production of Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple was held over due to popularity and rave reviews.

Beach Nuts Theatre productions are community oriented, supported by local businesses and families who provide funding and services, build sets, sell tickets and bring their children to rehearsals.

Paul will hold auditions for Christmas Pantomime from 3:30 to 5:30 pm on September 3rd and 5th at The Village in Brasilito. Callbacks will be held on September 7th.

Performances will take place the third week of November.
