Man dies after crash with buffalo

March 24th, 2014 (InsideCostaRica.com) Steven Castro Cedeno, 25, was killed in the early morning hours on Sunday when the vehicle in which he was traveling collided with a buffalo in the middle of the Interamericana Sur highway in the country’s Southern Zone.

 

Castro was traveling with two of his cousins who were both injured in the accident and were taken to a hospital in Ciudad Neily.

 

Authorities are attempting to locate the animal’s owner.

 

In June of 2006, an aircraft collided with three buffalos while attempting to take off from a small airport in Corredores.  The pilot and copilot both required hospitalization.
