Man who assaulted women at gunpoint in Escazu is in custody

December 23rd, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) A 21-year-old man was arrested in Escazu on Friday.  Authorities believe the man was linked to the armed robbery of female pedestrians in Escazu.

 

The Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) said they had been investigating the man for two months.

 

The man is suspected in an assault that occurred on October 13th, when two women in their 20’s were walking in the area of Santa Teresa de Escazu when a man intercepted them on a motorcycle and robbed them at gunpoint.

 

The man is also suspected in a second armed robbery of a woman on November 28th in San Antonio de Escazu, also at gunpoint.

      Poor guy. Had to probably spend a couple of hours in custody, while young female pedestrians were walking around with valuable possessions that could have been his. I’m sure he must of got his gun back as well, with an apology.
