October 14th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) Dana Colligan, a U.S. citizen in her early 40’s who had been reported missing by residents in Samara, has been located.
Apparently, the woman abruptly decided to move back to the United States without notifying friends and the community.
Those who knew the woman in Samara were concerned after finding all of her personal effects intact in her apartment after a concerned friend notified the property manager, who entered the woman’s apartment.
“[…] A friend finally decided to enter the apartment and everything was there, food going bad in the fridge, her contact lenses, glasses and all of her personal effects so we know she was not planning on going anywhere,” a friend of Colligan told La Voz de Guanacaste last week.
Colligan has apparently communicated via email with a friend in Samara and said she is in the United States and in good health, but will not be returning to Costa Rica.
