International short film festival kicks off in San José today

October 2nd, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) Costa Rica will be one of the hosts the Shnit International Short Film Festival for the third time.

 

 

The festival opens in Costa Rica today at 7:30 p.m. at Cine Magaly, located in Barrio La California in San José.

 

 

The festival takes places at the same time across five continents.

 

 

For its 11th edition, Shnit celebrates the art of the short with more than 200 films, which flicker across screens the 2nd to 6th October in eight cities around the world. While Bern, Buenos Aires, Cairo, Cape Town and San José have already played host to Shnit in the past, this year’s festival also includes Bangkok, Kyoto, and New York.

 

 

The Shnit Awards Night will take place on October 13th in New York.
