March 15th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) Famed guitarist Mike Stern, considered one of the best jazz guitarists by Guitar Player magazine, will hit the stage at Jazz Café in Escazu tonight and tomorrow night. Both shows begin at 10pm.
Stern will bring with him drummer Steve Smith, who was part of the band Journey from 1979 to 1985, and later between 1996 and 1998.
On bass will be Tom Kennedy, who by 18 years old had already performed alongside jazz greats such as Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Stitt, Stan Kent, and Freddie Hubbard.
Tickets are priced at 20,000 colones, but there is a 5,000 colon discount for BCR cardholders. Tickets can be purchased at the Jazz Café in Escazu or in San Pedro.
