Lack of water at National Stadium forces athletes to hotel

costa rica national stadium

March 5th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) The Costa Rican delegation of athletes participating in the Central American Games are forced into staying at the Hotel Irazu, despite the fact that the National Stadium has a hotel within its facilities.

The reason is lack of water.  According to Edgar Barrantes, General Manager of the National Stadium, an error in the construction does not permit water to reach the fourth floor, and as a result the Ministry of Health will not issue operating permits.

Barrantes said that a donation of pumps and tanks would be approved by the Chinese in the coming days, and that Chinese technicians would travel to Costa Rica to install them.
