MOPT expands hours for drivers licenses

January 9th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) The Directorate of Road Safety Education of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) reported that available to users with a new opening hours from Wednesday January 9. The new hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm

 

The Ministry of Public Works and Transportation (MOPT) has announced extended hours for those needing to obtain or renew their drivers license, beginning today.  The new hours are 8:00am to 6:00pm.

 

The new hours apply to the San Ramon, Puntarenas, Liberia, San Carlos, Perez Zeledon, Guápiles, Limon, Alajuela, Rio Claro, and Nicoya offices, as well as the central office located in Uruca.

 

The extended hours will be in effect until Friday, February 15th. MOPT said it is temporarily expanding its hours due to a large increase in the number of people looking to obtain or renew drivers licenses.
