November 22nd, 2012 (InsideCostaRica.com) Costa Rica’s Observatorio Vulcanológico y Sismológico de Costa Rica (OVSICORI) is reporting a flurry of medium temblors this morning in the Santa Teresa, Nicoya area. According to the agency, the first one struck at 7:38am local time, a magnitude 3.5 temblor 1km southwest of Santa Teresa in Nicoya. Minutes later, at 7:52am, the second quake struck with a magnitude of 3.9 near Santa Marta, Nicoya, followed by yet a stronger quake just one minute later, of 4.3 magnitude and 1km northwest of Santa Teresa, followed by another temblor of 3.0 magnitude another minute later near Miramar, Nicoya.
The agency has made no statements regarding the flurry of temblors yet this morning, as of 8:00am local time.
There are no reports of injuries or damage.
All four earthquakes were between 8km and 11km in depth.
The USGS has not yet reported the temblors as of the time of writing.
