costa rica rain

November 20th, 2012 (InsideCostaRica.com) The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) said that the low pressure system that has affected Costa Rica in recent days will continue this week, and temperatures could drop even more on Wednesday.

Intermittent rainy conditions are expected in the Caribbean and Northern Zone. Strong winds are also expected in the Central Valley and North Pacific with gusts reaching 70km/hour (about 43mph).

Highs in San Jose and Cartago for Wednesday are forecast at just 19C (66 F) and 17C (63 F) respectively. IMN recommended that residents keep an eye on river levels in the Caribbean and Northern zones due to increased rainfall in mountainous areas, and to be aware of the risk of landslides and floods.
