ICE cellular and 3G services will see outages starting today

October 8th, 2012 – Users of ICE’s cellular phone and 3G internet services will begin to experience outages as of today, Monday, October 8th, which will continue most of the week, until Thursday, October 11th.

 

The outages are due to maintenance work being performed throughout the country on the company’s infrastructure and equipment, according to ICE.

 

Today and tomorrow, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. the following day, the service interruptions will occur throughout the entire country, in what is described as “5 minute intervals”.

 

Some other places that will also experience local breakdowns in telecommunications services are Playon in Puntarenas, La Garita, in La Cruz, Guayabo in Bagaces, Orosi in Cartago and Roosevelt in San Jose.

 

On October 11th, residential internet service and land lines with numbers 2540-0000 to 2540-3999 will see an outage for a 6 hour period in San Gabriel, Asseri.
